A well-matched cover begins with the insert you already own. Mattress names are useful shorthand, but duvet inserts and covers do not all use the same dimensions.
1. Measure the insert, not the mattress
Remove the current cover. Lay the insert flat on a clean surface and gently smooth it out without stretching it. Use a tape measure to measure the full width from one side edge to the other, then the full length from top to bottom. Record both measurements in inches. If the label also lists dimensions, compare the two.
2. Read the actual cover dimensions
On a product page, select Color / Design and Cover dimensions. We show measured dimensions in inches with centimeters alongside them. A label such as Queen or King can refer to different measurements across designs. The listed width and length are the information to compare.

These are measurement examples, not interchangeable size recommendations. For a straight conversion, divide centimeters by 2.54 to obtain inches.
3. Aim for a close match
A cover much larger than the insert can leave empty fabric at the edges. A cover much smaller than the insert may compress it or be difficult to close. Start with the closest available dimensions and the insert maker’s fit guidance. We do not recommend a universal amount of oversizing or undersizing.
4. Check borders and pillowcases
A decorative border can add to an outer measurement without adding the same amount of usable insert space. Where a cover has a border and a specified insert fit, we show both. Check pillowcase dimensions separately: a cover set’s pillowcases may be a different size from the ones you currently use.
5. Keep a note before you choose
Write down the insert width, insert length and pillow dimensions. Confirm the number of pieces in What’s Included, then make your selections before adding the cover to your bag. An insert is not included in any cover or set.
